Maori Television - Matariki/Maori New Year

In celebration of Matariki, Maori Television produced this impressive audio/visual presentation. Including performances from some amazing musicians, thought provoking story telling and dialogue from esteemed guests. I feel really lucky to of been involved in such a fun production and give thanks to those that gave me the opportunity to make these images.

Anna Coddington

A beautiful lady with a beautiful voice playing a sweet sounding guitar surrounded by a truly magical set.

Listen to her awesome music on her website or myspace. Then support her by going to her gigs or purchashing her debut solo album 'The Lake'.

The Little Bushman

Jazz influenced, psychedelic, experimental blues is how I would describe these guys. Some really interesting grooves. They have really managed to craft their own unique sound to express themselves. Check it out here. Currently on a 13 town tour of New Zealand, go and see them if you get the opportunity!

Lighting

I take my hat off to the lighting wizards that crafted all these beautiful sets. They really did all the hardwork, I just got to point my camera at them and play around. A large, unapoligetically self indulgent collection of experimental, surreal, light paintings.

Production

This gallery is of and for all the people who were involved on set. It was a great crew, full of experienced hardworking professionals who knew what they were doing. I learnt alot, had a great time and made some contacts and friends along the way.

Speakers

Each of the 3 days we had different people to come in and speak . Everyone who did so carried with them an energy that engaged the listener and demanded you listen intently even if you could'nt understand Te Reo Maori.
